2015 Year End

As another year draws to a close we tend to reflect on what the past year was like. It's hard to believe that the Old Liners celebrated five years in April. It seemed like this year we had better weather and less issues surrounding the car events than ever. Except for one weekend in early October where events were postponed, things seemed to be relatively smooth throughout the year. In all - and by my count, we participated in over twenty events during 2015. Starting with a show at the Streetcar Museum and then on to Charlotte Hall's Car Show (aka the Coming Out Show - a name we don't generally use)

and ending with the Street Survivors Christmas Show

We made it to twenty something events in between in at least four States. Since we all don't necessarily attend the same shows, we have the ability to be at more places at the same time - a nice feature and it doesn't limit us to a single event on any given date. As much as we enjoy the various events, for many of us a good part of what makes it a great time is the drive to and from the event so any time we can spend in our machines is time well spent. We'll miss that over the winter months.

Another important part of it is the people. The members of our club get along great and are good people. The friends we meet wherever we go enrich our experience and we look forward to seeing them in the new year so we can swap stories and talk about what's new. The neat thing about being on the internet is that it makes our experience global. When we look at where people are viewing our page from, it's really amazing. We have friends all over the world - from the United Kingdom, Australia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Spain, France, Brazil, Argentina, Portugal, Japan, India, Phillippines and many other countries.

Let's hope for an even greater 2016!
